Datapro and Mastercard Boost Payments in Latin America and Caribbean

Datapro, a provider of core banking systems and digital solutions, has partnered with Mastercard to enhance cross-border payment solutions for its customers in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Mastercard’s latest Borderless Payments Report highlights the increasing consumer demand for quick and secure international money transfers. This collaboration aims to provide Datapro’s customers in Latin America and the Caribbean with fast, secure, and transparent cross-border payment solutions.

Mastercard Cross-Border Services enables financial institutions worldwide to facilitate international payments in over 60 currencies across more than 100 markets, reaching 90 per cent of the global population.

As part of the Mastercard Move portfolio, this service looks to provide users with flexible options for receiving funds, ensuring transparency and predictability regarding transaction status and delivery time. Users can send funds to various endpoints, including bank accounts, mobile wallets, cards, and cash payout locations.

“As the global economy evolves, people should be able to move money however they want and whenever they want,” said Walter Pimenta, executive vice president, commercial payments and new flows, Latin America and the Caribbean at Mastercard.

“This requires an enhanced suite of services to ensure funds move quickly, seamlessly, and safely. By connecting Datapro’s platform to Mastercard Cross-Border Services, their customers will have access to seamless cross-border transfers underpinned by the reliability of the Mastercard network.”

The partnership

The collaboration also features advanced data integration, business rule management, and API orchestration, which are intended to provide a quick and smooth implementation, addressing common technical and onboarding challenges.
