Seamless Africa 2024 to Focus on Payments, Fintech, and Banking Innovation

Seamless Africa 2024, set to take place on 16 to 17 October at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg, will bring together over 6,000 industry professionals, 250 exhibitors as well as 200 speakers to explore advancements in payments, fintech and banking across Africa.

The event will feature innovative solutions from leading companies like Yoco, Altron FinTech and Facephi, along with discussions led by key figures such as Sidi-Mohamed Dhaker from the Central Bank of Mauritania and Alfred Musarurwa from Stanbic Bank Zimbabwe.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to network, engage with industry leaders, and explore the latest trends and technologies shaping the future of financial services on the continent.

At Seamless Africa 2024, fintech and payment solution providers showcasing their solutions include Altron FinTech’s secure payment platforms, Click Mobile’s mobile payment solution as well as Facephi’s biometric authentication technology.

Global Payment Services (GPS) and Halo Dot will introduce their payment processing systems, while Nagging Panda brings its fraud detection methods. Stanchion Payment Solutions is set to showcase payment gateway technologies, and YOYA Technologies Ltd will highlight its latest mobile and online payment innovations.

M4Bank will present its advanced digital banking automation tools, and Redian Software will demonstrate streamlined banking process automation.

Visionary speakers

Speakers at Seamless Africa 2024 include Sidi-Mohamed Dhaker, director general of the Central Bank of Mauritania, who will discuss regulatory strategies crucial for financial stability. Meanwhile, Tawanda Mubvuma, chief economist, balance of payments at the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe, will share insights into economic trends and their impact on financial services.

Musarurwa, chief technology and operations officer at Stanbic Bank Zimbabwe will explore technological innovations in banking operations and Daniel Adaramola, chief information security officer at SunTrust Bank Nigeria, will address cybersecurity challenges and solutions.

Munya Kavhu, COO of First Capital Bank Zimbabwe, and Catherine Chali, COO of United Bank for Africa Limited Zambia, will delve into enhancing operational efficiency and customer experience.

There’s also the chance to hear from Zara Feldman, chief data and analytics at FNB South Africa, Yohannes Million Hussein, chief digital banking officer at Dashen Bank Ethiopia, Christine Kitale, vice chair of the Association of Fintechs Kenya and Henock Shilongo, acting deputy director at the Central Bank of Namibia, who will contribute perspectives on digital transformation, data analytics, fintech innovations and regulatory frameworks shaping the financial landscape.
