Plazo Improves Rewards Programme Following Partnership With Woowbe

The financial wellness app developed by Spanish fintech company ID Finance, Plazo has completed its next step in providing value to its users by rewarding them for using the Plazo Mastercard. This has been made possible following a partnership with loyalty platform, Woowbe.

Plazo customers can enjoy cashback, products and additional benefits across nearly 200 retailers. Spanning across a variety of sectors, including dining, travel, beauty products, aesthetic clinics, fashion, and education, users can acquire two to 20 per cent cashback on debit card transactions.

Partnership with Woowbe

Founded in 2020, the Spanish startup Woowbe has developed an AI-based loyalty system focused on personalisation, delivering an innovative experience by connecting financial platform users, like Plazo’s, with retailers both in e-commerce and physical stores. This connection boosts sales both online and offline. All the while, it significantly improves user experience and fosters loyalty for both retailers and financial apps.

Building on foundations with Pecunpay

The collaboration with Woowbe has been made possible through Plazo’s agreement with Pecunpay, a Bank of Spain-regulated electronic money institution and part of Minsait Payments (Indra Group).

Pecunpay serves as the issuer and manager of Plazo’s payment card and account. It enables secure integration of reward programmes so that customers automatically receive cashback on offers available in both physical and online stores.

It is worth noting that Pecunpay and Woowbe entered into a strategic collaboration agreement in 2022 to provide all their clients with access to Woowbe’s loyalty system. The new agreement with Plazo builds on this foundation, giving Plazo users access to a wide range of offers and benefits.
