TBC Uzbekistan Targets Small Businesses with New Digital Service

TBC Uzbekistan introduces TBC Business, the first fully digital banking service for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and individual entrepreneurs in the country. This expansion broadens TBC’s scope from digital retail banking to addressing the specific needs of the business community.

The service aims to streamline banking processes for SMEs, enabling them to conduct all banking activities online and eliminating the need for branch visits.

“With the launch of TBC Business, we are redefining what it means to bank as an SME or entrepreneur in Uzbekistan,” said Nika Kurdiani, CEO of TBC Group operations in Uzbekistan.

“This product embodies our commitment to driving innovation and creating customer-centric solutions tailored to the unique needs of businesses. By offering the first fully digital business banking service in the country, we aim to empower SMEs with seamless and efficient tools that enable them to focus on business development and growth rather than administration.”

TBC Business taps into the technological infrastructure of TBC Uzbekistan and the country’s extensive government services to offer a streamlined, paperless onboarding process. Businesses can open accounts in less than three minutes without submitting physical documents, thanks to automated verifications.

The platform also provides round-the-clock payment services, one-click access for utility and government transactions, instant payments with preset templates and team account management features.

Additionally, with a youthful population where 59 per cent are under 30, Uzbekistan is experiencing growing demand for digital financial services. As a prominent player in the digital banking sector, TBC Uzbekistan is positioned to respond to these market dynamics.

Its ecosystem, part of the London-listed TBC Bank Group, includes TBC Bank Uzbekistan (TBC UZ), a mobile-only bank; Payme, a digital payments app designed for individuals and small businesses; and Payme Nasiya (Payme instalments), an expanding instalment credit business.
